💡 HEARTCODE COMPLETE – FAQ

It is a blended course combining self-paced online study (Part 1) and an in-person, hands-on skills testing session (Part 2).

Yes. Graduates receive an official American Heart Association eCard, valid for two years.

The HeartCode model offers maximum flexibility, allowing you to complete the lengthy "classroom" portion on your own time, resulting in shorter on-site time and less work disruption.

Students minimize time off from work. Instead of sitting in an 8-hour class, you complete the theory online and only come in for the brief skills session.

Login credentials and instructions are emailed to you through the AHA's RQI 1Stop Portal after you register.

This is your in-person appointment. An instructor will evaluate your hands-on skills, such as CPR, AED use, and any advanced skills (like megacode for ACLS/PALS).

Your eCard is usually issued immediately after you successfully complete your skills session.

To claim your card manually, visit: http://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards

Common issues include lack of practice or misunderstanding the online material. We recommend you practice your skills, review the materials, and contact us for guidance if you are struggling.

No. The American Heart Association (AHA) requires both an online component AND an in-person, hands-on skills session. 100% online courses are not AHA-approved.

Typically, you have 60 days from registration to complete both the online (Part 1) and in-person (Part 2) components. Please confirm your specific course's expiration details.

If you purchased our Reschedule Insurance, you may reschedule your skills session unlimited times without penalty.

If not, our standard 48-hour reschedule policy applies. (See In-Person Course Policies section).
